The Move

Yes, it's true, our little family has moved to La Crosse Wisconsin - right on the Wisconsin-Minnesota border. We are settling in nicely. We've a nice little set-up here, although we do miss so much about our house and life in Duluth - but so far, so good. Nate is enjoying his new job with the USGS. He can bike to work and we have been having lunches together as a family.

Halene and I have been spending our days together like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. We go on adventures on the banks of the Mississippi - exploring new places and getting into trouble. We are having a grand-ole' time. Halene is getting taller and funnier and oh-she-can-be-a-stinker. She'll be eighteen months in September; yes, she is no longer a cuddly-squishy-little-baby. She is a walking, talking, jumping, joking, grabbing, barking, meowing, singing, spinning, dancing, read-me-that-book-for-the-seventh-time, kissing, hugging, sweet-little-munchkin, six-year-old-in-a-toddler's-body.

Since we are now living in a place where we have no family and have met only a few new friends I decided to finally start this blog and try to keep in better contact with all the people we miss and care about. We would love to have visitors anytime!
