Week 2: Can a little brother be kissed too often by his sister?

 

Sunday afternoon: Sam asleep, Nate and Halene out playing in mud puddles. Well, we made it through the second week. Sam is doing great. Went to the doctor a few days ago and he has already gained over a pound, weighing in at a nice 9 pounds 4 ounces.   Halene likes her baby brother so far; we have to hold her back from tackling him with kisses and tickling. 

Aunt Marianna stayed with us for a week. Halene LOVES her Auntie Mari. And Mari fattened us up with lots of good food. Here are some photos from our hike at Great River Bluffs State Park.

Grandma and Grandpa De Jager came over to put their stamp of approval on the new De Jager grandson. Halene says Grandpa is "so silly."
