Last day of MN trout season

Today, Sept. 30, is the last day one can leagally fish for trout in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I took yesterday off from work to put in my final effort for the 2009 season. Enjoy the pics..
The leaves and things are changing out there....

A very nice brown trout taken on a tiny midge pupae. This is a nice 14 inch fish...

I fished a catch and realease section-not leagal to take anything home for supper.

This 18" brute took a leech imitation in a strectch of water that was about 5' across. Sometimes big fish come from tiny waters.

I still have a couple of outings to NE Iowa (where trout season is 24/7/365) in October and November before I put my rod and flies away for the year.
